Passion
For the problem itself — and for clients ambitious enough to solve it well. We take on the work others find awkward, slow, or unglamorous, because that is usually where the real lift sits.
Most of what consulting sells has been done before. Signify Impact exists because that work deserves a published scope and a published number — not a fresh proposal, a fresh negotiation and a fresh price every time it comes round again.
The problem is not that consulting is expensive. It is that work we have already done a hundred times gets priced as though it were the first.
A control gets rebuilt, a register gets refreshed, a framework gets re-walked. None of it is new the second time, and none of it is new the fifth. Yet each round arrives as a bespoke proposal with a bespoke number, because that is how the industry has always billed — and the client pays twice for the same learning curve.
Impact takes the other position. Where work genuinely repeats, it is time-boxed and scope-boxed, the boundary is written down before you buy, and the rate is the same for you as for anyone. Nothing is held back for the call.
That is a narrower promise than a consultancy usually makes, and deliberately so. Impact does not transform, and it does not pretend to. It sustains — which means it can be priced honestly, because we know what it costs us.
Everything else on this site is downstream of that one decision: the published catalogue, the printed scope, the rate you can check against your own arithmetic before anyone answers the phone.
How an engagement actually runs →Four verbs, four properties. Impact is the fourth verb — the one that keeps working after the others finish.
Print this row for procurement. It was written to be printed.
| Signify Solution · the consultancy | Signify Impact · the subscription | |
|---|---|---|
| The job | Transforms, remediates, builds. Changes the state of things | Maintains and monitors. Keeps one artefact true |
| The shape | Bespoke engagement, scoped each time it’s needed | A fixed, printed box on a published rhythm |
| The team | Partner-led throughout — the firm’s standing promise | Specialist pod; partner judgment at kickoff, calibration and readouts |
| The pricing | Quoted per engagement, because the work varies | Published on the page, because the box doesn’t |
| The ending | Ends when the change lands | Renews for as long as you want the artefact alive |
| Buy it when | Something must become different | Something must stay true |
Impact is aftercare, not consulting-lite. It maintains and monitors. It never transforms, remediates or builds — that is Solution scope, quoted separately, never absorbed. We publish this boundary because the alternative — letting a subscription quietly swallow engagement-sized work — would eventually make both prices meaningless.
Credits obey the same line. An audit’s remediation plan is an Impact deliverable; executing the fixes is Solution work, and no credit balance — however large — buys across the boundary.
Whichever role you hold, some of what you need is on this side of the line and some isn’t. Here is the honest split, so you can stop guessing which conversation to have.
| You run… | Impact does | Solution does |
|---|---|---|
| Internal audit | Assurance engagements and the function’s own infrastructure — universe, plan, methodology | Remediating what the audits find. Investigations. Control redesign |
| Security & privacy | The posture baselined and tracked; the named DPO role; diagnostics of your own estate | Building the program, designing the controls, reaching the maturity level |
| Finance | Key controls monitored; the risk register kept alive; funding assurance the committee commissions | Remediation, finance transformation, control build-out |
| Transformation | Readiness assessed before you start; the benefits case kept alive after you do | Almost all of it — the program, the PMO, integration, operating model, change |
The bottom row is the honest one. If you are running a transformation, most of what you need is not on this side of the line — and we would rather route you than stretch. Signify Solution →
This is the least comfortable fact about how we are built, so it belongs on the page rather than in a footnote. Impact runs services and Impact performs assurance, and at any one client those two halves are structurally in tension — because assurance over work we perform ourselves is not assurance.
The consequence is that we can sell you less than our catalogue suggests. We would rather that arithmetic be visible here than discovered by you in year two, and it is the reason the independence page exists at all.
Every other Signify engagement is partner-led throughout — and Impact deliberately isn’t. That is a design decision, and you deserve the reasoning before you buy a year of it.
A published rhythm run by partners would either cost what a bespoke engagement costs or quietly starve of attention — both bad outcomes wearing a prestigious label. So Impact splits the work honestly: specialists run the rhythm — the evidence sweeps, the interviews, the artefact, the pack — because they do exactly this every week and are better at it for that reason.
Partner judgment is concentrated at the three moments it changes the result: the kickoff, the calibration workshop where leadership challenges the scoring, and your readouts. Those moments are on the calendar and printed in the box, not promised on best efforts.
Pods are assigned per client after the independence screen, so publishing a wall of faces before cohorts form would be decoration. What we publish instead is the model itself: the cap, the cadence, and the commitment that your Scope Confirmation call includes the named specialists who would serve you. Capacity is finite by design — when a quarter’s onboarding slots are taken, this page will say so and state when the next opens.

Solve, build and teach all end. Sustain does not. And when work we repeat every quarter is billed at the price of work invented once, good work becomes something you dread renewing. Impact prints the scope and the number instead: the same for you as for anyone.

The recommendation we make is the recommendation we'd give a partner. We won't soften a finding to keep an engagement, and we won't lengthen a program to keep ourselves on it.
Technical depth across strategy, audit, GRC, SAP, cybersecurity, and privacy — earned at the work, not at the seminar. The teams we field have done the thing they're advising on.
Plain language. Specific advice. A point of view we'll defend. Nothing about a Signify deliverable should feel templated, padded, or politely vague.
Bring the situation; we’ll tell you plainly which of the two it is — including when the honest answer is the more expensive one, or neither.
